Shoreham bike shop refit marathon continues...

We have finally moved into the middle unit and have scrapped all the metal panels. The walls and ceiling are being prepped for painting and we have re-opened a doorway to make way for the much needed changing room! I expect the painting for the centre unit to be completed pretty quickly. Then all we will have to do is the third and final unit and the flooring! It's very exciting seeing the end unit completed and looking swish, just waiting on our P.O.S. and canvas artwork. We will of course post photos once the store refit has been completed, and if you are a little impatient please pop down to the store for a nosey around. We have had the full Raleigh e-bike range delivered (and they are now all built and ready to view). The 2012 road bikes have been built (all except the Raleigh Team bike, we will build that once the middle unit has been decorated).

Someone came into the shop on Sunday and asked how long we had been a bike shop in Shoreham. Well we have actually been in Shoreham since 1980!! That's 3 years before i was born (do the maths, i'm really not that old!). We have found some interesting bicycle related artefacts whilst doing the refit including a raunchy Sturmey Archer Nottingham poster (yes i did say raunchy), some old Puch bike posters and a couple of Brooks saddle catalogues. Unfortunately they were all too fragile and crinkled to keep, but it was interesting finding them. We are debating about what bits and bobs we can display as we have a huge collection of puncture repair kits (over a 1000 different ones last count) and old bicycle oil lamps, puncture repair kit dispensers and all sorts of interesting odds and sods that have been collected over the years. I will probably leave it all boxed and try to sort a display stand or something once the store refit has been completed.

Thank you to all our customers for your support over the refit, we appreciate your custom and you are always welcome to come and see how the refit is going.

Kind regards Richard
